Your Role

As a Neurodivergent Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming consultation services to NDIS participants and private clients.
  • Collaborate with families, referrers, doctors, employers, and other allied health professionals to achieve coordinated, client-centred outcomes.
  • Conduct functional capacity assessments and prepare detailed written reports for NDIS applications and reviews.
  • Advocate for clients by liaising with the NDIS, Support Coordinators, and other external organisations to optimise outcomes.
  • Empower clients to achieve their goals through capacity building and enablement strategies.

 

What We’re Looking For

We seek a therapist who shares our passion for neurodivergent advocacy and affirming care. Ideal candidates will possess the following:

Requirements:

  • A neurodiversity-affirming mindset and commitment to evidence-based learning.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • A valid Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain one).
  • A current driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.

Desirable:

  • Lived experience as a neurodivergent individual or experience working with neurodivergent clients.
  • Familiarity with the NDIS framework and NDIA processes.
  • Experience assessing sensory preferences and tailoring interventions.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, web applications, and remote service tools.
