About the Role
This permanent (part time or full time) role offers a unique opportunity to design and deliver psychology services tailored to the needs of the MND community. You’ll empower clients and their families through evidence-based interventions while contributing to broader organisational initiatives like team training and employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy to clients and their loved ones.
- Develop client resources, assessment tools, and service templates.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and MND Queensland’s allied health team.
- Deliver staff training on mental health topics and foster employee well-being.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and program development.
About You
You are a compassionate professional with strong emotional resilience and a passion for working with individuals facing significant challenges. You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing clinical expertise with creative problem-solving to develop client-centered solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist
- At least 3 years of experience, ideally in disability, chronic illness, or grief support.
- Proven skills in evidence-based therapy and group facilitation.
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Card, National Police Check, and Working with Children Check.
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
- Medicare registration or willingness to obtain.
