  • Educate clients about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and self-help techniques. Help clients develop resilience, emotional regulation, and adaptive skills.
  • Referral Management:
  • Refer clients to appropriate external services or professionals, when necessary, to support their treatment plan (e.g., psychiatry, GP referrals, external therapists, etc.).

  • Manage your own caseload and schedule. Tailor your work environment to suit your needs while adhering to the practice's standards and policies.

Key Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Psychology (e.g., Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology for Clinical Psychologists).
  • Medicare provider number (or the ability to obtain) to offer Better Access services is an advantage.
  • Experience:
  • Experience working with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, is highly desirable.
  • Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain positive therapeutic relationships.
  • Excellent clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload.
  • Knowledge of a range of therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR) and willingness to adapt to the needs of clients.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to high professional and ethical standards.

Benefits:

  • Flexibility:
  • Enjoy the freedom to set your own hours and work from a location that suits you (whether in-person at our clinic in Caloundra, via telehealth, or a combination of both).
