About the role
We are seeking a passionate Exercise Physiologist to join our dedicated team at Bankstown City Aged Care in Georges Hall, NSW. As a part-time Exercise Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing tailored exercise programs to improve the health and wellbeing of the elderly people in our community, working with clients in their own homes and in our seniors gym.

You will be responsible for supporting the development, as well as facilitating the implementation and review of the strength and balance programs in line with each client’s needs and goals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the individual needs and goals of our clients
• Facilitate, monitor and review both group and individual exercise programs
• Conduct health screenings and functional re-assessments
• Design and deliver evidence-based exercise programs aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance and overall physical function
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our exercise services

Skills you’ll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology 
• Registered as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
• Experience with Gym supervision
• Working knowledge of gym equipment 
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering exercise programs for older adults, ideally in an aged care or community setting
• Strong understanding of the unique health and functional needs of the elderly population
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients
• A compassionate approach and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of older adults
