Position overview: We are seeking talented and compassionate Occupational Therapists to contribute to our mission of enhancing the lives of our clients. As an essential part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people's well-being.

The range and requests of referrals vary from NDIS, Aged Care Package providers, TAC or DVA. The locations of these requests vary across metro Melbourne.

 

Therapists work on a subcontract basis and hours are flexible, meaning you have choice on how much work you wish to complete (there are no KPI’s in relation to billable hours). There is opportunity for a full time of part time position. Therapists are provided regular supervision by Senior Occupational Therapists.

 

Graduate Occupational Therapist will be considered, and full support and supervision will be provided.

 

Skills and experience (desirable):

· Clinical experience in a community-based setting or working in rehabilitation setting particularly in aged care is favourable.

· Experience working with Aged Care clients and NDIS is highly favourable.

· Experience with understanding and interpreting a variety of assessment screening tools such as Vineland Adaptive Behavioural Scale, PEDI-CAT, WHODAS is desirable.

  • You will have an understanding of various assessments within the NDIS that include SIL, SDA, ILO and a general FCA.

· Ability to work independently.

· Compassionate and client centred approach.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Key responsibilities:

· Provide occupational therapy services to a range of clients, including NDIS, home care package, TAC and DVA.

· Completed comprehensive initial assessments, outlining client’s functional capacity and provide recommendations based on clinical reasoning towards improving a client’s independence and safety in their home and the community.

· Complete relevant assessment screening tools including Vineland Adaptive Behavioural Scale, PEDI-CAT and WHODAS.

· Liaise with key stakeholders, including case managers, equipment suppliers and NDIS support coordinators.

· Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.

· Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA – registration).

· Current Police Check

· Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance.

· Current driver’s license.

· First aid and CPR

 

Location: Metro Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula
