Position: Paediatric Speech Pathologist (Permanent Part-Time)

Location: Frenchs Forest, NSW

 

Are you passionate about helping children and young people achieve their communication goals? Speak Listen Learn is looking for a dedicated and empathetic paediatric speech pathologist to join our vibrant and supportive team.

 

About the Role

  • Type: Permanent part-time (2–3 days per week), with potential to increase days in the future if desired.
  • Flexibility: Opportunity to take additional leave during school holidays to suit a working parent, if preferred.
  • Days/Hours: To be negotiated but will include before/after school availability to meet client needs.
  • Caseload: Work with children aged 6 months to 15 years in a clinic-based setting. Caseload tailored to your experience and preferences, including a mix of NDIS and private clients.
  • Areas of Practice: Speech sound disorders, language, early intervention, literacy, social skills, autism support, and group programs.

About You

We are looking for a speech pathologist who:

  • Holds a relevant qualification and SPA CPSP membership and is approved to work in Australia.
  • Has a National Police Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC), and professional indemnity insurance.
  • Ideally has 2+ years’ experience in paediatric speech pathology (exceptional new graduates with relevant life or work experience are welcome to apply).
  • Demonstrates essential soft skills, including empathy, integrity, rapport-building, collaboration, communication, self-reflection, and positivity.
  • Has experience in areas such as language delays, speech sound disorders, autism support, literacy, and early intervention.
  • Is proactive, efficient, and innovative in managing time and workload.
  • Works within a neurodiversity-affirming framework and understands the value of affirming approaches.
  • Values multidisciplinary collaboration and enjoys working with colleagues such as paediatricians, GPs, OTs, physiotherapists, and psychologists.
  • Has knowledge of NDIS processes and reporting requirements (highly valued).
