Flexible Options! FT/PT MSK physio, new grad or experienced

We require a dynamic, personable and progressive physio to work closely with other health professionals as a team. Standard physio skills with a love of manual therapy, rehab and sports are key to this role, as well as a preparedness to co-manage patients with other modalities.

  • Established business of 18 years, strong local reputation
  • Brand new fitout with all rooms opening out onto a purpose built functional space (we moved in to this new space in June 2022)
  • Work closely with other professions as well as other physios
  • We value lifestyle and enjoyment of work, plus offer CPD contributions
  • Close ties with 24/7 gym across the road
  • Open to FT, PT or contract positions, let us know what would suit you best
  • This job is based in Concord West, however some hours at our second location in Kirribilli may also be available if desired.

Pinnacle Spine & Sports has been a leading allied health provider in Concord West & surrounds for over 18 years. In mid-2022 we completed our brand new clinic fitout in the heart of Concord West, opposite a busy 24/7 gym and close to cafés and the train station.

Our new build has been purposely designed to facilitate collaboration amongst our team of practitioners, and puts a focus on both the passive and active components of every visit. All treatment rooms open out onto the open plan functional area, where one-on-one or small group sessions can take place.

Our clinic currently consists of physios, chiros, massage therapists, an exercise physiologist and a podiatrist.

We have a working relationship with the gym across the road, and our practitioners often meet patients there as part of their treatment sessions. Moving the clinic opposite the gym has facilitated this further, along with receiving referrals from them.

Our standard patient demographic and injury type is fairly varied - from your everyday mum hurting her back lifting the washing, to the higher level athlete, even kids with their usual run-ins and the elderly needing care for their ongoing needs. We have a bit of everything here, Concord West is a beautifully varied demographic with people from every life stage.

We strive to facilitate a work environment that our team love to turn up to, and we provide employee benefits such as discounted gym fees, CPD contribution and regular one-on-one mentoring sessions with other practitioners.

If you've got experience in other areas such as dry needling, women's health or Pilates/other group exercise instruction, then that's a bonus. They're not essential though, so don't let it stop you from applying.

New & recent grads welcome to apply, however you will be managing your one-on-one treatment sessions on your own fairly quickly so you must be confident in your approach and ability to build rapport with patients. Our collaborative approach to patient management means you'll never be alone in the deep end though.

Saturday morning availability (even if only fortnightly) would be a big benefit for any applicant. Additionally, availability to work 2-3 evenings until 7pm during the week would be a minimum. We aim to structure your work hours to give you a day off during the week, so you're typically working a full time load in 4.5 days (4 mid-week days + Sat AM, OR 4.5 mid-week days).

Salary depends on experience and the skill set that you bring to the clinic. Bonuses & performance-based rewards will be discussed as the role goes on.

If you're the kind of physio who likes to manage patients on their own and rarely sees the need for the intervention of other health professionals such as chiros or remedial massage therapists, then sadly this isn't the job for you. We've worked hard to break down the perceptions that people have of co-managed care and we have a vision to push forward with this and become Australia's leading multidisciplinary practice. The new location has given us space to bring in other professions as well, which is well & truly under way.

For enquiries, please do not call the clinic, kindly email only.

Requirements

  • AHPRA Physiotherapy Registration without restrictions
  • Current Australian citizenship or permanent residency with full working rights (no sponsorships available)
  • A desire to be a team player and work alongside other allied health specialties
  • Preferable - Sat morning + some evenings until 7pm
