Ready for Your Next Big Career Move? Become Our Clinical Leader (Occupational Therapist) at Playology Clinic!

🌟 Why Choose Playology Clinic?

At Playology Clinic, we’re not just another paediatric allied health clinic. We’re a values-driven, therapist-owned practice in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs that combines the values of not-for-profit work with the innovation of private practice.

We’re here to make a difference—not just for the young people and families we support, but for our team, too. When you join us, you become part of a workplace that’s flexible, inclusive, and genuinely committed to your wellbeing. From encouraging work-life balance to fostering a culture of care, we ensure that every team member feels supported, valued, and energised to do their best work.

✨ Your Role as a Leader

This is your chance to step into a pivotal leadership role, guiding a passionate and skilled multi-disciplinary team of practitioners while maintaining your own hands-on clinical practice. You’ll have the autonomy to shape our growing Occupational Therapy program, and the support of a senior psychologist and clinic director who shares your vision for making a difference.

We know leadership isn’t just about responsibilities—it’s about impact. At Playology, you’ll have the time, tools, and encouragement to lead with purpose.

🌈 What We’re Offering You:

  • Flexibility: The ideal candidate is looking for 4-5 days per week, but details are negotiable to suit your needs. We support work-life balance and encourage flexibility with workdays and hours.
  • Collaborative Growth: Work alongside a close-knit, multi-disciplinary team that thrives on shared learning and support.
  • Empowered Leadership: Be supported to lead confidently while making a real impact in your clients’ lives and the broader community.
  • Wellbeing First: From regular check-ins to promoting balance, your health and happiness are a priority here.
  • Purpose-Driven Therapy: Therapy isn’t just therapy for the sake of it—or simply because a client has funding. We’re dedicated to goal-focused, functional outcomes that genuinely matter to families. Our work is about achieving meaningful progress, and we celebrate every success along the way.
  • Values in Action: Join a clinic that actively partners with local organisations to support young people and families in need.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Supervise and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of practitioners using a strengths-based, reflective approach. Build, develop, and grow our Occupational Therapy program to new heights.
  • Clinical Work: Provide outstanding occupational therapy services that empower children, adolescents, and their families to thrive. Focus on practical, meaningful outcomes that integrate seamlessly into daily life.
  • Growth & Development: Immerse yourself in professional development opportunities, ensuring you’re always at the forefront of best practice.

About You:

You’re a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist ready to take the next step in your career. You’re not just looking for a job; you’re looking for a role that aligns with your purpose.

Must-Haves:

  • Registration with AHPRA and 4+ years’ clinical experience working with children.
  • A passion for mentoring and leading across a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A commitment to functional, impactful therapy and neuroaffirming, family-centred care.
  • A valid driver’s licence and Working with Children Check.

Bonus Skills:

  • NDIS experience.
  • Knowledge of working across diverse settings like homes and schools.
  • Expertise in mentoring and supervision.

Why Our Team Loves Working Here:

  • We’re big believers in inclusivity, where every team member and client feels seen, valued, and celebrated.
  • Our work is grounded in meaningful relationships—with clients, families, and our community.
  • We genuinely invest in our team, offering training, support, and opportunities to grow.
  • We prioritise wellbeing, with initiatives designed to keep you feeling supported, balanced, and inspired.
  • We celebrate client success—because achieving meaningful progress is at the heart of everything we do.
