About the role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at Sydney Exercise Medicine in the western Sydney area on a contract basis. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality services to our diverse client base (including NDIS participants, Medicare patients, aged care clients and Workcover patients), helping them regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' functional abilities and rehabilitation needs
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to address clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs
  • Deliver mobile-based OT services in western suburbs and surrounding areas
  • Deliver clinic-based OT services at our Castle Hill and Girraween Location
  • Provide a range of occupational therapy interventions, including but not limited to, functional capacity assessments, activity adaptation, and assistive technology recommendations
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to client care
  • Document client progress and update treatment plans accordingly
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our rehabilitation services

 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • New graduates welcome
  • WWCC
  • Police check or NDIS worker check or willing to get one
  • First aid/CPR or willing to complete
  • Drivers licence
  • Your OWN ABN number
  • Your own personal and public liability insurance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based, and client-centred care
