Job Title:  Registered Nurse - Hughenden, Queensland.

Job Type:  Permanent – Part-Time (32 hours per fortnight).

This is a well-respected healthcare facility that is dedicated to delivering top-quality healthcare to their community. They are actively seeking a self-driven and proactive Registered Nurse who is motivated to achieve a positive, comprehensive approach to nursing in a supportive, exciting general practice environment. This is a part-time position (32 hours per fortnight), with potential to increase to a full-time.

Position Description:

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patient
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive healthcare
• Diagnose and treat acute health problems, such as infections and minor injuries
• Participate in health promotion and education initiatives
• Order, perform and interpret specific diagnostic tests
• Ensure adequate supplies are on hand or appropriately stored at all times
• Assist GPs with minor procedures
• Provide safe and effective administration of vaccines
• Input, maintain and provide relevant records of immunisation/vaccinations
• Provide advice and education to families and patients

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Previous experience in general practice or similar healthcare setting is desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Australian work rights
• Current Criminal Record Check (or willing to undertake)
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work well independently or in a team
• Commitment to quality patient care
