Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualifications: Degree in Speech Pathology with current SPA registration.
- Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience working with children in a clinical setting.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for working with children & adolescents.
- Attributes: A team player with a positive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to ongoing learning.
- Desirable: Experience with specific therapy programs such as Hanen, Lidcombe & the Social Thinking Curriculum.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop personalised therapy plans for children & adolescents with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Deliver individual and therapy sessions in a fun and engaging manner.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other allied health professionals to support the child’s progress.
- Complete timely clinical documentation including session notes, progress & assessment reports and emails.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and case discussions.
- See clients in the clinic, via Telehealth as well as carry out local school & preschool visits.
