We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Sports Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will assist in leading our physiotherapy team, provide advanced musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy care to a diverse patient population, and contribute to the growth and culture of our clinic. The ideal candidate will be an excellent clinician with a strong background in sports physiotherapy, a motivated clinical leader with a friendly personality that blends with our team ethos at Back to Bounce Sports Physiotherapy.

 

General Duties:

As a Senior physiotherapist you will undertake assessments of clients, determine individual capabilities, and apply your professional expertise when providing clinical assessment and treatment of various musculoskeletal and sports injury related conditions at Back to Bounce Sports Physiotherapy. In a senior role you will also assist in providing clinical expertise and professional education to help mentor junior physiotherapists, via facilitating clinical education sessions and providing support to the physiotherapy team.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced level Physiotherapy clinical assessment and intervention to patients for musculoskeletal injuries, with a focus on sports-related conditions. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that enhance patient recovery and performance.
  • Demonstrate leadership and clinical supervision to physiotherapists and undergraduate students. Provide clinical guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior staff members. Promote professional development and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Build strong relationships with patients, understanding their goals and providing personalised care. Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
  • Creating a tailored treatment plan to address client’s identified impairments, considering their age, fitness levels and any other medical conditions.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the clinic, including service offerings, community outreach, and patient retention strategies. Participate in and lead clinic initiatives and special projects.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Holds or has imminent aspirations of achieving titling in Sports or Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
  • ·Minimum of 5 years of experience in sports physiotherapy with a proven track record in managing a varied caseload
  • Previous experience in leadership (desired not essential).
  • Advanced knowledge of musculoskeletal assessment and treatment techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with patients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in working with sporting teams at either community, semi-professional or professional levels.
