Location: West Melbourne
Salary: $80K to $120K per annum + super + $1500 PD Budget + Option for 5 weeks paid leave
Our Client is a rapidly growing paediatric speech pathology practice located in Melbourne’s West. They are passionate about providing our clients with high quality, evidenced based therapy services. The practice was established to empower children and their families to reach their full potential. They work with clients aged from 2-18 years of age.
The main services are provided at our spacious, modern clinic based in Point Cook just off the freeway and a short stroll from Williams Landing train station. They do also offer school visits within the local areas as well as Telehealth services for children across Victoria. They have ample onsite parking available for our clients and our team.
About the Position and Benefits
- They offer a general caseload tailored to each clinician’s experience, interests, and skill level.
- Caseload includes both clinic based and school-based services with an age range of 2-18 years.
- Areas of work may include oral language, articulation, literacy, fluency, social skills and AAC.
- Full Time or Part Time position with flexible work hours.
- Starting date February 2022 (flexible).
- Includes a structured mentoring and support program for New Graduates and Early Career therapists.

What will you do?
- Provide individualised and engaging speech pathology services to assess, diagnose and manage clients.
- Write clinical notes for each session delivered.
- Write assessment reports and provide feedback to parents/carers.
- Write NDIS reviews and/or letters to doctors and other relevant professionals.
- Develop client SMART goals.
- Maintain work-life balance.

Requirements
Essential Criteria (Skills, experience, and requirements)
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or equivalent).
- Current Speech Pathology Australia Membership.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently within various service models and across various locations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a continuous commitment to professional development.
- Paediatric experience preferred, however new graduates and/or experienced applicants are welcome to apply.
- Eligibility for Medicare Provider Status.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate with Anaphylaxis Training.
- Professional, reliable and upholds a strong work ethic.

- Ability to establish rapport with children and be fun!
