About us
Ability Focus Occupational Therapy is a small private practice, born in 2013 which has grown steadily over the years.
We are passionate about creating a safe, creative workspace and supportive team culture, by focusing on the values of integrity, strong relationships, lifelong learning and accountability.
About the role
• Conduct individualised assessment and work closely with families to develop functional goals with a strengths-based approach
• Provide family-centred, evidence-based intervention to infants, children and young people with a focus on fun and engagement
• Deliver services from our clinic, via Telehealth and travel locally for home and school outreach
• Collaborate with other allied health professionals we have developed strong working relationships with
Essential criteria
• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) and registration with AHPRA
• Member of OT Australia
• High level time management skills including the ability to independently juggle work demands and prioritise workload
• Ability to communicate with clients, colleagues and other professionals concisely and without judgement
• Current Working with Children Check, Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Driver’s license and reliable car (fully insured)
Desirable criteria
• Experience working with children and young people with a range of developmental disabilities
• Understanding of NDIS & Medicare funding
