The Role
We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Podiatrist to join our team in Mackay, QLD.
The Podiatrist will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating medical conditions and disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower leg.
Responsibilities include:
● Comprehensive Assessments: Perform detailed musculoskeletal, diabetic, and general nail care assessments, ensuring accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plans.
● Demographic Variety: Confidently treat a broad range of patients, including geriatric, pediatric, and NDIS participants, providing personalised and compassionate care to each individual.
● Innovative Orthotics: Utilise your expertise to prescribe innovative orthotics, enhancing patients' mobility and overall foot health.
● Cutting-edge Treatments: Access our advanced facilities, including shockwave and laser nail treatment, to deliver cutting-edge therapies for optimal patient outcomes.
● Foot Scanning: Utilise innovative foot scanning technology to precisely assess patients' needs and create customised solutions.
● Efficient Modifications: Utilise on-site grinders to provide efficient modification turnover, ensuring timely adjustments for patients' orthotic needs.
● Footwear Assessment: Assess footwear choices and confidently prescribe appropriate alternatives, addressing comfort and support for our patients.
● Varied Caseload: Thrive in our bustling clinic environment with a diverse caseload, keeping your podiatric knowledge sharp and continuously expanding your expertise.
Qualifications
● Qualification in Podiatry and holds an Ahpra registration
● Experience in Biomechanics and Orthotics
● Strong knowledge of Diabetes and its effects on foot health
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals
● Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
● Experience working with children, athletes, and the elderly is a plus
