ALMCare is an established practice located within the Greater Western Sydney Region looking for a compassionate and skilled Psychologist to join our team. We will provide ongoing training, professional supervision and support to ensure in your success. There are plenty of opportunities for you to grow within our business. This role is available as a full-time or part-time in-house position.
Our practice aims to deliver specialized and professional psychological counselling services to clients with a diverse mix of presentations including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, and PTSD. Your responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments, developing treatment plans, providing therapy, and report writing.

Responsibilities and duties:
- Provide therapeutic sessions to referred clients using evidence-based interventions.
- Develop tailored treatment plans for referred clients using prior knowledge and research skills.
- Collate handouts for referred clients for homework and therapeutic aids.
- Complete electronic client notes and reports for sessions to an appropriate standard as outlined by APS Code of Ethics/Supervisor standards.
- Write letters to other health professionals and external agencies to assist the client in continual access to health and other services.
- Attend professional development in accordance with AHPRA registration requirements.
- Attend case conferences for referred clients to assist in service provision.

- Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Eligible for Medicare provider number
- SIRA approval
- Demonstrated experience in the application of evidenced-based psychological assessment, intervention and case management services to individuals with mental health disorders and other mental health concerns.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and implement outcome focused individualised treatment plans using a best practice framework with a continuity of care and recovery-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work to effectively work within the multidisciplinary care team (i.e. allied health team, Psychiatrist, General Practitioner, Insurance company).
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional and timely reports and maintain up to date clinical records in accordance with documentation standards in addition to maintaining current data requirements of the practice.
