Our private practice has been successfully adapting to the ever-changing health, disability and aged care sectors for the past 25 years. We are part of the community of Cairns and Far North Queensland. We have the professional resilience and grit to continue to provide compassionate, person centred and evidence based OT services. Our team members are often with us long term, which we love and this helps us support our newer staff.

We have a variety of caseload areas to develop in. Maybe you have skills in one of these but would like more skills in a different area, or maybe you are just starting out, either way we can help with that.

• Home modification and assistive technology prescription (mostly for DVA and Aged Care Package clients) is our immediate priority

• Work rehabilitation services, Ergonomic assessments and Pre-employment Screenings

• Scar, swelling and lymphoedema management

• Neurological Rehabilitation

• Hand and upper limb therapy

• Pain management therapy

We have a large, well-resourced practice at the Calanna Health Centre, Woree, a suburb of Cairns. However, if you would like to work from home for some of your hours this may be an option, if it fits with your caseload.

We offer

- Options for flexible working hours, for example, we can schedule in a rostered day off for you, or you might like to leave early one day a week. You can work part time or full time, whatever is the right number of hours for you to meet your / your family’s needs.

- Our OTs and Admin team are really supportive and you will never feel like you’ve been thrown in the deep end or have to wing it.

- Our weekly team meeting, mentoring sessions and quarterly team in-services where we come together with a focus on being the best OTs we can be, share the wins & challenges and gain support from each other.

- Financial support to attend courses and events, as well as paid study days, so you can attend the courses you want!
