Job Title: Senior Clinical Psychologist – Toowoomba, Queensland
Practice Information:
This private mental health service has approximately 12 clinicians (Clinical Psychologists, Registered and Provisional Psychologists, Counsellors and Nursing staff) and five admin staff. They’ve been based in Toowoomba for over 20 years, recently moving to a large and modern space with infrastructure to support our rural hubs in Kingaroy, Charleville and Lockyer Valley. They have a very strong positive reputation in Toowoomba and across the Darling Downs region. The practice routinely has a waitlist of 4 - 6 weeks for services for children, youth, and adults. Approximately 80% of their clients have access to government funded services (full or in part) with the remainder accessing private insurance or are full fee paying.
Position Description:
Seeking an experienced Psychologist for direct client services, and for clinical education (with Clinical endorsement) to train and supervise e.g. post-graduate students on placement; Clinical Registrars; and to work with our Director to improve clinical management policy and procedures, and quality outcomes from our services. Flexible hours and work conditions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Must hold a Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology. The postgraduate experience must be of no less than five years full time duration (or part-time equivalent) and include evidence of meeting annual requirements for professional development, extensive effective experience in:
- assessment, intervention, and evaluation of clinical outcomes with diverse client populations
- experience and knowledge of psychological evidence based practice in child and adult mental health
- effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and problem solving skills
- demonstrated ability to provide supervision to students as part of a multidisciplinary team
- demonstrated ability to liaise and provide education to other health professionals
- demonstrated leadership skills including realignment of work practices toward organisational objectives.

Conditions negotiated to align with HP4 level of the Health Professionals and Support Services Award [MA000027], ranging $49.40 - $63.29 minimum hourly rate.
