Are you passionate about what you do?  Then look no further!  We are looking for Paediatric (0-18) Occupational Therapists who desire to work in collaborative and innovative ways.  We work in a variety of settings (including home, community, clinic, schools and kinder) and offers individual, group and joint supports.

About the Position:

Responsibilities:

- Conduct and interpret assessments as required.

- Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each child.

- Provide evidence-based interventions.

- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other Why Wait staff to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to therapy.

- Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to therapy plans.

- Provide support and guidance to families, empowering them to actively participate in their child’s communication development.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including progress notes, therapy goals, review reports, assessment reports and outcome measures.

- Provide best practice methodology.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

- Registration with Occupational Therapy Australia.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families and the therapeutic team.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

- Flexibility to travel within a 50km radius.

- Working with Children check.

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

- Valid Driver’s License.

- Willingness to use personal vehicle. (KM reimbursement)

 

**Ability to purchase up to 4 weeks additional annual leave.
