Exercise Physiologist

We are looking for an Exercise Physiologist who can work independently and within a small team. You will be responsible for the design, delivery, evaluation and adaptation of safe & effective exercise interventions, to improve physical & emotional wellbeing, as well as quality of life.
Location – Woonona/Bulli
Support and promote women’s health
Provide health coaching and client management
Group classes and one-on-one consultations

$30 - $39 + Super per hour

We are seeking an Exercise Physiologist who can initially work in a casual capacity, two (2) days/ week in Woonona/Bulli; with the likelihood of increasing to full-time.
Role Overview
Some duties include:
Develop, organise, and supervise individual and/or group exercise programs
Facilitate exercise programs to enhance wellbeing & prevent/manage chronic health conditions using evidence-based exercise and lifestyle interventions

Job Description - How you will make an impact in women’s lives:
Undertake assessments relevant to your discipline to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans
Design and implement exercise and lifestyle intervention programs to improve functional performance, independence and work capacity
Identify barriers to exercise
Design, implement and monitor programs that support people to achieve their goals
Understand a variety of healthcare funding schemes and empower clients to achieve their wellness and recovery goals
Liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
Essential Criteria:
Minimum Bachelor level qualification in Exercise Physiology, or equivalent
Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
Current Australian Driver’s Licence
At least 2 years’ experience including working with NDIS clients, WorkCover, DVA & Medicare clients
Willingness to learn and impact positively on women’s lives in tangible ways
An ability to engage clients & stakeholders in their wellness and work journeys
A commitment to a high level of customer service to clients & customers
Willingness to work in the community
Current Working with Children Check and Police Clearance
