Registered Nurse - Practice Nurse - Kiama, NSW

About the role
They are looking for someone who's highly motivated, enthusiastic with a "can do" attitude towards all tasks, ability to work autonomously at a fast pace as well as in a team. They are a growing practice so a bubbly personality is a must as well as the ability to think on your feet who's able to do the following tasks in Kiama, NSW
The chosen candidate will provide quality care to a diverse mix of patients, through:
- Immunisations and other injections,
- Triage
- Wound management,
- Chronic disease management,
- ECGs
- Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance.
- Assisting with care plans and shared health summaries
- Assisting with telehealth consultations.
- Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation.
- Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment
- Implementing and practicing infection control
- Assist with Reception and Practice Management duties.
In addition, the candidate must also provide the following;
- Current Police Check
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Working with Children clearance
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate
- Immunisation Record
- Driving licences or photo ID
- Use of Best Practice programs preferred
- Experience and knowledge of care plans and health assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring and collaborative approach to patient care
- Proven multi-tasking, problem-solving and time management skills
Essential Qualificatiions
- Appropriate tertiary qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Registration in Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Current professional indemnity insurance.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Minimum of one-year nursing experience, preferably in a community-based role.
- Experience with specific social groups serviced by practice, such as adolescents, aged care, migrant or refuge groups, Aboriginals and Torres Straight islanders, etc.
- Additional qualifications such as Accredited Women’s Health Certificate, Diabetes, Education Certificate, Asthma/Spirometry qualification/education.
