Position Overview:

As a Speech Pathologist at our Darwin location, you'll have the chance to immerse yourself in a supportive community while making a significant impact on the health and well-being of our diverse population working with an NDIS case load across the lifespan. Join an expanding team with positions available for all career levels, supervision can be offered for new graduates from across our network.

 

A typical day in the role may look like…

- A unique opportunity to go on regular outreach trips within the Tiwi islands and Katherine to provide face-to-face services to our regional participants.

- Provide face-to-face or Telehealth services to our participants from our Darwin office.

- Work with a paediatric caseload

- In addition to the above, you will provide Speech Pathology services to our participants in their homes, schools, or community centres within the Darwin metropolitan and/or regional area.

- Regular multidisciplinary meetings with other Patches’ disciplines to optimise holistic care and multidisciplinary goal setting for participants.

- Complete relevant non-face-to-face work, including writing progress notes, resource preparation and report writing.

- Support from SP colleagues that provide experience in remote service, technology prescription, paediatric home modifications, mealtime support, relational therapy, behaviour support, and sensory processing approaches

Requirements:

-SPA registered

-A desire for adventure and love of the outdoors

- Willingness to explore remote locations through outreach trips

- WWC and NDIS workers check
