Receptionist – Part Time
Job Description:
As a receptionist at our medical clinic, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they feel comfortable, heard, and well taken care of from the moment they walk in. You will manage appointments, handle administrative duties, and support our healthcare team in providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients as they arrive
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments and manage patient appointment records
- Maintain and update patient information in the clinic’s database and Best Practice.
- Handle patient billing and process insurance information and claims via Best Practice and HICAPS.
- Assist with general office duties such as filing, faxing, and managing office supplies
- Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming reception
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
Requirements:
- Proven experience in customer service or a medical office environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
- Proficient in MS Office and other office software (experience with medical software BP is a plus)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Positive, friendly attitude and a passion for helping others
