Position: Experienced Paediatric Feeding Therapist (Speech Pathologist)

Location: 110 Goodwood Rd, Goodwood, SA (may include mobile services depending on your preferences)

Employment Type: Casual Employee or Contractor (Flexible Arrangement)

About Us: Hatch Speech Pathology is a nurturing and flexible practice dedicated to providing high-quality paediatric feeding therapy for children from birth to 18 years. Our small team of two speech pathologists works closely alongside other allied health professionals to support our clients and their families. We pride ourselves on creating a safe and supportive environment for both our team and the families we serve.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist with specific expertise and training in paediatric feeding therapy. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for helping children achieve safe and effective feeding skills and thrive within a collaborative, client-centred practice. This role offers the opportunity to work both within our beautiful Goodwood clinic (1-2 days per week) and provide mobile services (up to 1-2 additional days per week) as the caseload grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and intervention for paediatric feeding therapy for clients from birth to 18 years.
  • Schedule and manage own client appointments, including bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records using Splose software, including progress notes and documentation filing.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals to provide holistic care.
  • Participate in case discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Current Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in paediatric feeding therapy, with a strong understanding of oral motor skill development, sensory-based feeding approaches, and safe swallowing practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to provide mobile services as required.
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Employment or Contractor Options: We offer the flexibility of either a casual employment arrangement or a subcontracting opportunity. Contractors must operate under a corporate structure, trust, or partnership (not as a sole trader) due to business compliance requirements. We are happy to discuss the pros and cons of each option to find the best fit for you.

Why Join Hatch Speech Pathology?

  • Work in a highly supportive and flexible environment.
  • Focus on meaningful work with a dedicated paediatric feeding caseload.
  • Opportunities for professional development and collaboration with other skilled professionals.
  • Be part of a practice that values safety, nurturing relationships, and evidence-based practice.

How to Apply: To express your interest, please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience and passion for paediatric feeding therapy.
