Your Opportunity

We are now looking for full-time or part-time Speech Pathologists based in Townsville, Rockhampton, or Toowoomba, QLD.

 

In this role, you will provide high-quality clinical programs that support a diverse range of clients and families through assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and management.

 

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing a clinical caseload to provide end-to-end care
  • Conducting individual assessment and intervention sessions
  • Generating accurate clinical reports and documentation
  • Adhering to quality assurance and governance measures
  • Collaborating effectively with clients, families, and other professionals
  • Engaging clients actively in their care journey through strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of practices, procedures, and service delivery
  • Committing to client safety and quality in service delivery
  • Providing listening and spoken language therapy as applicable
  • Participating in ongoing professional development
  • Assisting with organisational meetings, student supervision, and program marketing as required

 

What You Need

To qualify, you will need to be a Full member of Speech Pathology Australia, holding a current Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist qualification. Eligibility to pass probity checks, including Disability Worker Screening and a Working with Children Check (Blue/Yellow Card), is also essential.

 

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Experience as a Speech Pathologist and/or Listening and Spoken Language/Auditory-Verbal Therapist with diverse client groups, especially pediatric clients
  • Understanding of the impact of hearing loss and the Auditory-Verbal Therapy approach
  • Strong relationship management skills, both internally and externally
  • Training in evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • A current open driver’s license, with a willingness to travel to other sites as required
