Speech Pathologist

Little Birds Allied Health is a dynamic family-centered speech pathology and occupational therapy service for children and adults located in Balwyn North and Templestowe, VIC. The aim of the organisation is to provide individuals with the opportunity to ‘Learn, Grow, and Speak’ to their full potential, enhancing their quality of life through improved communication and interactions. Little Birds Allied Health currently services the inner eastern region of Melbourne.

Role Description

This is a part-time on-site or full-time hybrid role for a Speech Pathologist at Little Birds Allied Health. The Speech Pathologist will be responsible for conducting speech therapy sessions, assessing and treating communication disorders, and language disorders to help individuals improve their communication skills and quality of life.

Suitable candidates will require

- A relevant tertiary qualification in allied health (speech pathology)

- SPA registration and professional indemnity insurance

- Working with Children’s Check

- Drivers license is highly regarded

- Confidence in paediatric clinical skills

- Experience working with children with additional needs and EAL families is highly regarded.

- A willingness to learn and take on a challenge

- A desire to learn and share their knowledge

- Great communicator with clients, families and staff

- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with families, other professionals and the community
