Your clinical expertise will help to guide and develop the clinical skills of junior speech pathologists.

Responsibilities

  • Formally assess, plan and provide intervention for clients with a range of support needs across the generalist caseload including speech, language, literacy, fluency, neurodiversity, disability and orofacial myology
  • Provide services within the clinic setting, preschools, schools and homes
  • General administrative duties including management of timetable, report writing, clinical notes
  • Use multiple softwares in your daily processes. Full training provided
  • Senior speech pathologists will support junior team members
  • Complete professional development in a range of areas (budget provided).

Skills and experience

Essential (must have) criteria:

  • Playful approach to therapy
  • Willingness to learn and to ask questions!
  • Speech pathology degree 
  • Eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership with CPSP
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Access to own vehicle and current driver’s licence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and families.

Desired (would be great) criteria:

  • 5-10 years as a speech pathologist
  • Experience administering standardised assessments including CELF-5, CELF-P2 and Literacy assessments
  • Experience or interest in providing literacy intervention
  • Experience or interest in working with neurodiverse clients and those with learning differences
  • Available for immediate start.
