Speech Language Pathologist
Job description
As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for clients with communication and/or swallowing disorders. You will work with a diverse caseload, including children with developmental delays, speech and language impairments, and individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients presenting with communication difficulties, including challenges in speech, language, social communication, and swallowing.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans based on client goals, in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Deliver therapy in clinic-based, home, school, or community settings, depending on client needs.
- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting therapy plans as required.
- Liaise with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to provide holistic support for the client.
- Write detailed reports, including NDIS reports, to support client goals and progress.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices.
- Maintain ethical and professional standards in all aspects of client care and service delivery.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
- Current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Experience working with children and/or individuals with disabilities is desirable but not essential. New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance (or the ability to obtain these before commencing clinical work)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Police Check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
