If you are an experienced physiotherapist with a passion for neuro rehab and want to work in a dynamic, rewarding and supportive team environment with the latest robotics and technology in a fully equipped rehab centre, this role at Advance Rehab Centre is for you.

About the opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Senior Neurological Physiotherapist to join our Hurstville team. *Part-time, clinic-based position would be considered for the right applicant

We are a team of multidisciplinary clinicians, working in one of our three outpatient clinics and community-based rehab service covering most of Metro Sydney.

There is flexibility regarding the geographical area covered for your community caseload. You can be based from home, rather than the clinic on these days for flexibility.

Over the last 17 years, we have built a reputation as one of the most progressive neurological rehab services in Australia - winning the Australian Allied Health Adult Practice Excellence Award in 2019 and the Allied Health Team Culture Excellence Award in 2021. Our rehab centers are located in Artarmon and Hurstville. Next month we will be expanding our Artarmon site to open our Parkinson's and Movement Disorders hub.

The neurological caseload can be challenging and extremely rewarding. This position would suit an experienced physiotherapist with a passion for neuro rehab looking to stretch their clinical skills. We manage clients with stroke/ABI, MS, PD, MND, spinal cord injury and other progressive conditions both acute/early in diagnosis and chronic stages. We are proud owners of Australia's first LEXO - an end-effector gait trainer from Tyromotion. You would have the opportunity to be trained to utilise this as an adjunct for more intensive gait training programs.

Why join us?

  • Dynamic Opportunity - Ideal environment to further develop your skills as a physiotherapist through a challenging and interesting neuro caseload and state-of-the-art tech and facilities. Innovation and new programs encouraged.
  • Excellent Team Culture - We are a growing team that is family owned and operated and have kept our close-knit, supportive team culture. We support wellbeing at work and have an EAP Assist program and Employee Recognition Program.
  • Skilled Management - Our management and leadership teams all come from skilled, therapy backgrounds - they are very hands-on and always available on site for both informal and informal support.
  • Professional Development Focused - Outstanding CPD program and ongoing support for your own development and learning, including weekly neuro education; weekly MDT team meeting; formal induction process; ongoing clinical supervision; access to ARCademy with external guest speakers; support with leadership and career progression; and external courses hosted onsite.
  • Career Growth - Opportunities for future supervision and leadership positions through our Career Pathway.
  • Multidisciplinary Team - Excellent holistic client care provided between professions, including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Allied Health Assistants, Neuromuscular Orthotics and Speech Pathology.
  • Attractive Salary Package and Perks - including car allowance, smart phone, laptop, generous CPD budget, additional super contributions, bonus rewards, and free gym access for your own fitness, with (optional) weekly team workouts.

About you:

  • Compassionate and ambitious for patient success
  • Motivated to help people and develop skills
  • Open to feedback & willing to learn
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Experience working with clients with neurological conditions, especially stroke, brain injury and MS
  • Knowledge of NDIS, desirable
  • Willing to learn how to integrate technology and robotics into therapy

Qualifications and experience:

  • Valid Australian working rights
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Valid Australian Driver's License and car owner
  • 5 years physiotherapy experience, including at least 3 years neurological experience, desired. If you have less experience, applications are still welcomed and will be considered for a development role.
