Two distinct roles: Opportunity for a Senior Manager Workforce and an opportunity for a Senior Manager Education with Country to Coast Queensland (CCQ)

CCQ delivers the primary health network (PHN) program for Central Queensland, Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast on behalf of the Commonwealth Department of Health.  CCQ has an ambitious agenda to design and deliver better primary health outcomes for the people in their region.  CCQ’s diverse region covers 161,108 km2 from Sunshine Coast to Rockhampton and west to Emerald.

Senior Manager Workforce (12-month contract)

The Senior Manager Workforce at Country to Coast QLD (CCQ) is responsible for overseeing the delivery and management of CCQ’s health workforce programs, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and meet reporting requirements. This role plays a critical part in engaging stakeholders, including local education and workforce providers, primary health providers and community services, to support program initiatives.  PD can be accessed: https://tinyurl.com/ERRCCSMW

Key Requirements of the role Senior Manager Workforce

• Demonstrate experience in managing and delivering health education programs.
• Collaborate with partner agencies such as universities, TAFEs, and peak health workforce organisations.
• Lead innovative workforce model trials, including digital healthcare delivery and multidisciplinary primary healthcare models.
• Perform demand and supply analysis to address maldistribution of health workforce resources.
• Lead the development and implementation of new service models in multidisciplinary primary healthcare.
• Experience with workforce advisory committees and especially in the design and implementation of models of care, especially those related to COVID virtual models of care, patient flow redesign, or multidisciplinary care models.

Senior Manager Education (Full-time with hybrid options)

The Senior Manager Education will lead the development and delivery of health education programs and initiatives.  They will drive improvement in local education planning and delivery and also collaborate with clinicians, universities, TAFEs, and workforce agencies to strengthen educational offerings.   PD can be accessed: https://tinyurl.com/ERRCCSME

Key Requirements of the role Senior Manager Education

• Demonstrate experience in managing and delivering health education programs.
• Proven success in collaboratively designing, implementing, and evaluating educational initiatives.
• Experience as a clinical coach, senior lecturer, or leader in quality improvement initiatives.
• Strategic focus on assessment, stakeholder engagement, professional communication, report writing, and operationalising actions.
• Collaborate with clinicians, universities, TAFEs, and workforce agencies to strengthen educational offerings.

Qualifications for both roles

• Mandatory APRA registration (essential for building rapport with clinical stakeholders).
• Tertiary qualification in health education, clinical practice, or a related field.

• Familiarity with the PHN (Primary Health Network) framework is advantageous.
