RN/EN Practice Nurse

We’re a small team of GPs & support staff seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Practice Nurse.

Arana Hills Medical Centre is a long-standing private billing clinic. We're committed to education and has hosted medical students and registrars for over 30 years.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an EN/RN who has passion for community and patient care and wants to be part of a professional team.

Must Haves

• GP clinic experience
• Be a reliable team player
• Current AHPRA registration
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to work under pressure and excellent time-management skills
• Should be familiar with Best Practice software (or similar) & HotDoc
• Interest in treatment room optimisation
• Be availability to work varied hours between 8am & 6pm Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Patient triage, wound management and assisting with minor procedures (excisions, IUD etc)
• Administering injections including childhood and travel immunisations and Covid-19
• Daily co-ordination of the treatment room including stock control, sterilisation, diary management
• Experience in Chronic Disease Management and Health Assessments
• Cold chain management and infection control
• General treatment room duties including IV infusions, ECG, spirometry, ear syringing etc.
• Recalls and health reminders
