Registered Nurse

Hampstead Health Family Practice is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our existing team of experienced nurses in the treatment room. This is a casual position with opportunity to cover shifts across a 7-day roster.

Previous general practice experience is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided. New graduates are welcome to apply.

The Position

The role will include:

• Child, adult and travel immunisations
• ECGs & Holter Monitors
• Spirometry
• Acute and chronic wound care
• Assisting in minor procedures
• Ear irrigation
• Injections
• Intravenous iron infusions
• Triage and acute emergency care
• Sterilisation
• Recall and reminder system management
• Chronic Disease Management

Essential Criteria

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience with Best Practice Software
• Completion of an approved immunisation course.
