Psychologist

The Therapy Place WA is a private practice mental health service provider located in Bunbury, WA. Our team consists of experienced clinical and registered psychologists, provisional psychologists, a mental health endorsed occupational therapist, a speech pathologist, and a social worker. We offer a range of mental health services, including psychological counseling, assessment and diagnosis of Autism, developmental delays/cognitive impairment, specific learning disorders (e.g. Dyslexia), ADHD and intellectual impairment l health and functional disorders. Our goal is to provide empathetic client-focused support that promotes wellbeing.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Psychologist at The Therapy Place WA. As a Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological counseling, conducting assessments and diagnoses of mental health and functional disorders. You will work closely with our allied health team to provide guidance and support across a range of contexts, including grief and loss, trauma, family conflict and separation, management of mental health disorders, behavioral management, sexuality and gender identity, domestic violence, sexual assault, risk of suicide, depression, and anxiety. This is an on-site role located in Bunbury, WA.

Qualifications
 

• Psychology and Counseling skills
• Experience in conducting psychological assessments and diagnoses
• Knowledge of mental health and functional disorders
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Experience in working with diverse populations
• Mental health counseling experience
• Knowledge of medicine and its impact on mental health (beneficial)
