Psychologist

Child Psychology & Assessments is a mobile service based in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, offering psychology services to children and adolescents. Our psychologists travel to meet clients in their environments, either at school or in their home, to provide personalized and comfortable care.

Role Description

This is a full-time or part-time hybrid role for a Psychologist at Child Psychology & Assessments. As a Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing counselling and therapy, and developing treatment plans for children and adolescents. This role requires a flexible schedule, with work mostly conducted in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Responsibilities include

• Ongoing therapeutic interventions
• Treatment planning and development
• Ensure best practice and exceptional levels of care
• Ensure accurate clinical notes are maintained
• Delivering treatment in a culturally sensitive, neuroaffirming and appropriate way
• Work with wider care givers, family, and support network to provide additional support
• Completing assessments and comprehensive written reports including cognitive (WISC-V), educational (WIAT-III), ADHD and Autism assessments.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registered Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist
• Experience in conducting Psychological Assessments (including WISC-V, WIAT-III, ADHD and autism assessments) desired
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care
• Flexibility to travel to client locations
• Experience working with children and adolescents
• VIC working with children check
