Darwin Psychology Services is a locally owned and operated private practice located in Durack and Winnellie in the Northern Territory. Since 1997 our team have been delivering high quality, timely and culturally appropriate mental health services to Territorian's and are recognised as reliable, current and progressive in the mental health space.

NEW ROLES

DPS are looking to expand our counselling services and are inviting those committed to providing effective, focussed and evidenced based therapeutic interventions to clients across the lifespan to join our team. You can join our team either as a full time, part time or casual employee or in a sub-contracting capacity. The roles we have available include registered psychologists, mental health social workers and counsellors. Eligibility to provider Better Access funded services under Medicare is required as well as membership to professional regulatory bodies: AHPRA, AASW, ACA Inc.

To be successful on our team you would be required to have strong clinical skills, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as an effective part of a multidisciplinary team. You would also be required to be highly organised and time efficient.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Experience in working with clients across the life span, experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges.

· Strong case conceptualisation skills and ability to work with clients in identifying and working to achieve/review treatment goals.

· Experience with a range of therapy approaches including CBT,CPT, DBT, Schema Therapy, Short Term Solution Focussed Counselling, Motivational Counselling.

· Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative manner with GP’s, Psychiatrists, Paediatrician’s, Schools and a range of stakeholders in delivering individualised services and strategies.

· Experience and working knowledge of the impact of mental health on employment.

· Experience in working with clients whose lives have been impacted by trauma and who may be at risk of self-harm.
