What do we do?

ManKind Network is a team of psychologists who adopt a dynamic approach to supporting their clients. We utilise functional work spaces to support client engagement, while maintaining evidence- based practice.

Our mission is to promote positive health care experiences that encourage future health care engagement for all clients.

Our team commit to collaborating with other health care professionals who may be involved in client care. We aim to develop a network of care to support our clients and to achieve best health care outcomes.

What we are looking for / what we offer:

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic psychologist to join our team. Our point of difference is that we pride ourselves on ‘working outside the box’ from traditional talk therapy, while maintaining evidence-based practice. We adopt a multidisciplinary approach, by working in a highly collaborative manner with other allied health services such as exercise physiologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language pathologists, and more. We offer a flexible work environment to support the individual needs of our team members to promote self-care. We provide professional development through specified plans, supervision/peer-supervision, and professional development budgets.

• Providing psychological assessment and therapy to all people of all ages, with a specific focus on males.
• Providing support through a range of service modes such as individual therapy, groups, parent training, and professional development programs .
• Collaborating with other disciplines and teams throughout the community who may also be involved in client care.
• Fostering family/carer inclusive practice.
• Facilitating social learning, community connectedness, good health and wellbeing.

Qualifications you need

• Tertiary qualifications in psychology.
• Professional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Immediate eligibility as a Medicare provider.

• Skills and experience
• Experience working with complex clients, including Autism Specific Disorder and developmental delays.
• Experience providing psychological assessment and therapy to children, young people and adults.
• An ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• An ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines and organisations within the network
• Well-developed communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional time management and administrative skills coupled with a sense of initiative and attention to detail.

• To do the job successfully, you will...
• Deliver evidence based therapeutic interventions to clients and their families.
• Build and maintain a regular case load.
• Maintain client records in a timely manner.
• Regularly attend and participate in case reviews.
• Maintain your professional skills and meet our operational procedures.
• Build and maintain referral networks with GP’s, schools, NGO’s, relevant government agencies and other referral pathways.
• Participate in quality assurance activities.
• Comply with all ManKind Netwotk policies and procedures.
• Comply with the Psychology Board of Australia and ManKind Network Codes of Conduct.
