Practice Nurse

Drayton Street Family Practice in Nanango, QLD, is committed to providing exceptional healthcare and are looking for a passionate Practice Nurse to join our team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting our GPs with procedures incl. removal of sutures, wound care, and dressings
• Assisting with procedures like iron infusions, vaccinations (adult/child), and injections
• Collaborating with clinic staff and doctors
• Coordinating patient care with community services
• Sterilizing and maintaining medical equipment
• ECGs and other diagnostic testing
• Treatment room operation including vaccine management, sterilising, stocking and ordering consumables, minor cleaning duties
• Collaboration with patients, staff, and doctors
• Health education and promotion
• Maintenance of professional CPD requirements and registration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience using Medical Director software is preferred
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to show initiative and work independently but also engage in teamwork
• High standard of presentation
• Undertaking daily maintenance of the treatment room, verifying stock inventory and management of medical equipment and consumable supplies
• Follow up phone calls to patients as needed
• Support the Practice to meet accreditation
• Assist Reception Staff as needed including answering phone calls if required
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
• Vital sign monitoring
