Practice Nurse: EN /RN

Attention all superstar General Practice Nurses.

We are seeking an additional Practice Nurse to join our friendly and dedicated team. This full-time position is rostered over 4-5 days Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

High Street Medical Clinic is a mixed billing practice, which is well-loved within the community.  We have an outstanding team of 13 doctors, as well as a professional and experienced team of nurses, receptionists and supportive management. 

Our purpose is to ensure the health and wellbeing of our patients is optimised through prevention and personalised care.

Our clinic is modern, inviting, and well equipped with state of the art equipment and technologies and we are in a rapid period of growth which is why we are looking for the right nurse to join our supportive and dedicated team.

Our clinic is located in the heart of Prahran, with public transport, cafes and other amenities right on our doorstep..

About the role:

Your responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to:

• Chronic Disease Management and Health Assessments
• General Treatment Room procedures including ECGs, Spirometry, Audiometry, and Ear Irrigation
• Monitoring the Recall System
• Assisting doctors with Total Body Photography for skin checks
• Iron Infusions
• Vaccinations and injections
• Chronic and Acute Wound Care
• Assisting doctors with surgical procedures
• Stock Control
• Participating in Quality Improvement activities

Essential Criteria

• Current APHRA registration (RN or EEN)
• Current CPR Certificate 
• Current Working with Children Check
• Always displays initiative with a professional attitude to complete a high standard of work

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with Chronic Disease Management, Care Planning and Health Assessments
• Knowledge of Best Practice medical software
