Are you interested in advancing your spinal skills in the 3D world of scoliosis? If yes then we are the practice for you!

Scoliosois Physiotherapy, is Australia's longest established physiotherapy practice dedicated exclusively to the managment of all types of structural scoliosis (Idiopathic, Adult de novo, congenital and more), Juvenile hyperkyphosis (Scheuermann's) plus Pectus conditions (Excavatum and Carinatum).

The clients are essentially a 50/50 split between adolescents and adults, and they come to the practice for a variety of reasons.  Some of the reasons include:
- simply wanting education about their condition
- if they have a progressing curve, wishing to learn teachniques to try to halt the progression
- wishing to improve their postural alignment and symmetry
- seeking resolution of pain or dysfunction
- preparation for surgery or assistance with return to function after surgery
- bracing for adolescents or adults

On commencement with us, you will receive comprehensive training in the internationally recognised Rigo Concept - a Schroth based PSSE (Physiotherapy Scoliosis Specific Exercise) approach of which the Director, Rebecca Harding, is one of 30 Teachers globally.  You will then spend time buddying with Rebecca and one of the other staff for a couple of weeks, before then taking assessments and consultations yourself - so there is no throwing in the deep end!  Support continues with weekly mentoring as well as our regular monthly team meetings, where we put our minds together to review the more complex cases and latest research initiatives. We thrive on knowledge sharing and regularly provide inservices on scoliosis managment for other allied health and medical practices.

Our main Kew East practice is of lovely open design with high ceilings, so you will never feel cooped up.  We have a private outside courtyard for our staff breaks and also our own private staff car parking.  We have a kitched with fridge for use as well.

The consultation spaces are set-up for all our scoliosis specific needs, with wall bars, treatment tables, floor space, camera with posture grid, plus we have a reformer, wunda chair and everything else a physio practice usually has too.

All consultations are usually an hour long, leading to greater treatment satisfaction and your 30 minutes of paid admin time daily will also be appreciated by helping to keep work from overflowing into personal time.

We work within a multidisciplinary model, frequently communicating with surgeons, specialists and any other practitioners, to promote a team care approach to client management.

We are a friendly team who love what we do and we take pride in our ethical patient centered care approach, that has the motto 'Looking after the person, not just the curve'.

We look forward to meeting you!
