Physiotherapist or Student Physiotherapist - Inner West Magpies AFL

Job Description:

The Club Physio is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist or Physiotherapy Student (Sports Trainer certified) to provide game-day coverage for the Inner West Magpies AFL team. This role is ideal for a passionate professional looking to gain hands-on experience in sports physiotherapy, injury management, and on-field treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-game preparation, including taping, strapping, and injury prevention strategies.

• Offer on-field injury assessment and management during games.

• Assist with rehabilitation advice and return-to-play protocols.

• Liaise with coaches, players, and medical teams to ensure player well-being.

• Maintain accurate injury records and provide reports as required.

Requirements:

• For Physiotherapists: Must have AHPRA registration.

• For Physiotherapy Students: Must hold a Sports Trainer Certification (minimum Level 1).

• Previous experience in sports physiotherapy or game-day coverage is preferred but not essential.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced sporting environment.

• Availability on Saturdays for game-day coverage.
