Part Time Experienced Dentist – Hobart Tasmania

An opportunity exists for an experienced dentist to join our busy and dynamic practice at Crotty Dental in Hobart. Established in 1982 by Dr Janine Crotty, the iconic Crotty Dental practice occupies the spacious ground floor rooms of the heritage listed building located at 174 Macquarie Street in Hobart, Tasmania.

We are an independently QIP accredited dental practice, utilising D4W practice management software, and Hot Doc 24-hour online booking service. We are a five-chair practice with generous sized treatment rooms. Each treatment room is equipped with an intra oral camera and digital x-ray system. Our dental practitioners use the Trios 3 wireless intra-oral scanning system. The in-house BCI Dental Laboratory is conveniently located on the first floor within our building, serving all of Hobart.

We are currently seeking a caring, and friendly, team orientated dental professional to join the existing Crotty Dental team. 

This position is available from as soon as Wednesday 29th May 2024; however, the start date is negotiable.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for treating a variety of new and existing clients within the practice, including adults and children. You will enjoy providing a wide range of general preventive, restorative, and emergency procedures.

Qualification/Experience/Essential Requirements:

· Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

· Current AHPRA registration and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

· Possession of licence and operating experience with X-ray equipment.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Professional, highly confident, with great interpersonal skills.

· Have valid working rights in Australia or Australian citizenship/permanent residency.

Availability to work 3 days per week: Wed-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm. With further opportunity to work across our other clinics if desired on Mon-Tues in either Launceston or St Helens.

The successful applicant will be welcomed by a group of like-minded professionals and supported by a rotating team of talented dental assistants and sterilising nurse, who strive to provide a high level of clinical support and assistance to all dentists within the clinic.

Crotty Dental is a well-established privately operated practice that has a loyal and continuously growing Hobart client base. We are looking to attract a candidate with an interest in establishing a long-term presence within our practice and becoming a valued member of our existing dental team. Dr Janine Crotty is still working with us at specific times of the year on an ad hoc basis.

Mentoring, and team-based support is available, and further CPD opportunities may exist for a successful candidate with an interest in specialising in for example, Orthodontics and Invisalign, Cosmetic Dentistry, Endodontics, Implants.

Start date is negotiable, however, this position is available to an experienced dentist for a start in late May or early June 2024!
