  • Is neurodiverse affirming.
  • Is looking for a fulltime/part-time position with a growing company in a supportive environment.

  • Understands the importance of collaborative problem-solving.
  • Has a heart big enough to see the struggling child behind the behaviours and learning challenges, to see the worried Mum behind all of the questions she’s asking, and to see the concerned father behind the brave face.
  • Has the ability to meet the child where they are and build a warm therapeutic relationship with the child and family.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with parents, children, and co-workers
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuing education.
  • Has experience in treating children with a wide range of challenges, including Sensory Processing Disorder and Autism (preferred, but not essential).
  • Has experience providing speech therapy to children in a clinic and community settings (preferred, but not essential).
  • Interested in working towards certifications in DIR/Floortime and learning more about sensory profiles and how they impacts language and development.
  • Experience and knowledge of multimodal communication – or a desire to learn.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Therapy
  • Practicing Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Working with Children Check
  • Driver’s License
  • Own vehicle
