Kids Shine Therapy Services

Are you a passionate and skilled speech pathologist who loves to work with children and families? Join our small team and embrace flexibility, excellence, and fun.

Kids Shine Therapy is a small, mobile provider of speech pathology and occupational therapy services. We work with children aged 0 – 10, specialising in supporting children with autism, global developmental delay, Down syndrome and other diagnoses. We provide therapy supports in homes, schools, and community settings in the northern metropolitan suburbs of Perth.

We are passionate about:

  • building trusting relationships with the children and caregivers that we work with.
  • offering individualised family-centred therapy, tailored to the child’s strengths and interests.
  • promoting meaningful inclusion and participation across settings.
  • implementing evidence-based practice.
  • listening to the lived experience of children and families.

If you are a paediatric speech pathologist who shares our passions, we would love to welcome you to our small team.

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and organised speech pathologist who has a genuine love for working with children and their families.

We welcome applicants looking for full-time or part-time work. Days and hours are flexible, with most work occurring during school terms. We are currently offering a six-month contract, with the possibility of converting your role to permanent after this time.

In this role, you will be required to:

  • complete high-quality clinical assessment, planning, and goal setting in collaboration with families.
  • deliver a range of evidence-based therapy supports to clients within their natural environments. Areas of support include early language, speech sounds, social communication, AAC, literacy, and mealtimes.
  • provide training and coaching for clients’ families and caregivers, working towards meaningful inclusion and participation at home, school, and the community.
  • complete efficient and thorough clinical documentation and report writing.
  • work autonomously within a supportive team, and engage in regular clinical supervision. As we are a mobile service, you will be required to work from your home.
  • have effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • have excellent organisation and time management skills.

Skills and requirements

  • We are looking for someone who is ready to hit the ground running, with a minimum of two years’ experience as a paediatric speech pathologist.
  • You must have a current membership with Speech Pathology Australia, basic First Aid, Working with Children Check, and national police clearance.
  • As we are a mobile therapy service, you must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between clients within Perth’s northern suburbs in your own vehicle.

Benefits

At Kids Shine, we prioritise flexibility and clinical excellence. We are committed to investing in your growth and wellbeing as a clinician, and we want you to love your work!

We offer:

  • an above-market salary, based on your experience.
  • five weeks annual leave (pro rata).
  • $1000 each year to support your professional development.
  • travel reimbursement.
  • a small, friendly multidisciplinary team, and a supportive work environment focused on collaboration and client outcomes.
  • regular clinical supervision with a senior speech pathologist.
  • a flexible and manageable caseload of wonderful children and families.
  • access to a range of high-quality clinical resources and assessments.
