Paediatric Speech Pathologist

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate speech pathologist who is committed to supporting individuals and families in their speech and communication journey. The successful candidate will be based in Port Kembla and will be responsible for providing evidence-based practice in the assessment, intervention and management of individuals with communication disorders. New graduates are welcome to apply.

• Provide assessment, treatment, and management of individuals with speech and language disorders

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop, implement and evaluate individualised treatment plans

• Educate and counsel individuals and their families regarding communication disorders

• Document patient progress and report to relevant stakeholders

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the latest developments in the field of neurodiverse speech pathology

Requirements

• Tertiary speech pathology qualifications
• Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia
• Eligible for Medicare Provider Number
• Professional Indemnity insurance or willingness to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Drivers License, access to own car with comprehensive insurance and willingness to use own car for work purposes
• First aid certificate
• Working with children check and NSW police check
• Experience working with neurodiverse populations is highly desirable
