A highly desirable full books and full-time position is available for an Oral Health Therapist/Dental Hygienist to practice all aspects of general dentistry (within their scope) in a friendly, patient focused environment. Choice Dental is located in Browns Plains, Brisbane - a diverse, highly populated community with strong demand for family, complex restorative, orthodontic and cosmetic dentistry.

We are a 5 star - 400 Google Review, 6 chair, full-service general dentistry practice where exceptional patient care and outstanding patient communication skills are mandatory and expected. The applicant will have access to everything required to perform at the highest level including: iTero 5D Scanner with Niri Caries Detection, Digital Xrays, Zoom Tooth Whitening Lamp and kits, DSLR Macro cameras, intraoral cameras, All Invisalign/Fixed Braces Orthodontic Equipment, OPG/CBCT machine onsite, V3s, Automatrix, and more.

You will also be supported by Career-Driven DA's and Front Office Coordinators who take pride in ensuring your patients and appointment books are looked after. You will have a chairside Dental assistant for all procedures so they can look after the suctioning, changeovers, all restorative procedural assisting and charting.

Currently our 6 dentists, 1 denture prosthetist and 2 OHTs are all passionate about delivering comprehensive patient care while also equally passionate about supporting and sharing our knowledge with the successful applicant. Collectively, our existing dentists are trained in Fixed and Functional Appliance Orthodontics (POS, EODO and IAAD trained), Invisalign (Molis Coaching/BOSS Invisalign Course), TADs (Dr. Chris Chang Mini Residency Graduate), Complex Full Mouth Resin and Ceramic Restorative Rehabs (Chris Ho/Tony Rotondo Prosthodontic Mini-Residency Graduates; Michael Melkers Occlusion course graduates; Didier Dietschi/Jason Smithson Advanced Composite graduates; Lincoln Harris course attendees, SPEAR Online attendees), Advanced Communication Courses (PrimeSpeak/Prime Practice/Mark Hassad Trained), and therefore can give practical and hands-on mentoring to the successful candidate who may also be a past (or future) attendee of any of these exceptional and comprehensive CPD programs.

For applicants looking for mentorship, the principal dentist is a proven mentor by volunteering annually (since 2020) in the ADAQ Mentoring Program and has enjoyed being a part of the career development of more recent graduates. Should you possess adult scope, the principal dentist has had a proven track record supporting, mentoring and developing the restorative and diagnostic skills of OHT’s, and this is evident by the spectacular professional growth of one of our existing OHT’s who obtained adult scope a few years ago.

We have a strong hygiene department lead by 2 fantastic Oral Health Therapists, and one of these 2 OHTs is relocating to North Queensland permanently for new adventures with her family. As such, the position offered is to take over her existing full books.
