The Occupational Therapist position with our client is a diverse position under the NDIS Framework, with the primary purpose of increasing the quality of life through individualized assessments and therapeutic intervention and planning. Our Client's Team provides multi-dimensional support, across the lifespan, in various settings (at home, school, in community, and within residential facilities e.g aged care). Occupational Therapists welcomed to our team, will provide high-quality, evidence-based and effective therapeutic supports to our clients, and their care teams, to improve functional capacity, achieve more desirable outcomes, and improve their overall health, wellbeing, and quality of life.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES

  • Provide holistic, evidence based and person-centered therapeutic supports to individuals across the lifespan with neurological and developmental conditions.
  • Ensure strengths based, person-centered, and client-focused approaches to shape the most therapeutic interventions across the continuum of support delivery (assessment, planning, intervention)
  • Support clients to establish short-term therapy goals that work toward improved capacity, and improved quality of life.
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitives when providing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds.
  • Support a multi-disciplinary team to deliver best practice therapy that will enable our participants achieve their functional goals, and improve their overall quality of life.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including within early childhood education settings, schools, and community services.
  • Work in accordance with the NDIS Act 2013 and comply with all obligations under the NDIS (Provider Registration and Practice Standards) Rules 2018.

 

 

MANDATORY

  • A Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with neurodivergent individuals and a demonstrated understanding of neurodiversity affirming therapy principles.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience assessing clients’ occupational performance and engagement through clinical observations and standardized assessments, including the formulation of assessment findings into Functional Capacity Assessments.

 

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

  • A post graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (or specialist area)
  • 4 years’ experience working with neurodivergent individuals
  • 4 years’ experience assessing clients’ occupational performance and engagement through clinical observations and standardized assessments, including the formulation of assessment findings into Functional Capacity Assessments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and professional learning.

 

 

Driver’s License & Vehicle

  • A valid NSW Issued ‘C’ class driver’s license.
  • Reliable vehicle & Comprehensive Car Insurance

 

 

Security Check Clearances

  • Working With Children's Check (WWCC) - or willing to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check - or willing to obtain
  • National Police Check - or willing to obtain

 

 

REUMEMERATION

Contract Positions (ABN only)

  • $90.00 - $110.00 per hour

Permanent Positions (full-time or part-time positions)

  • Base Salary ($90k - $110k) + Superannuation (11%) + Employee Benefits Programme:
  • Annual Leave Loading (17.5%)
  • Birthday Bonus $250.00 (per annum)
  • Paid Birthday Leave (additional annual leave day)
  • Christmas Bonus $500.00 (per annum)
  • Flexible Working Arrangements (see below)
  • Annual Professional Development Allowance ($2,500 annually)
