Occupational Therapist

RCOT Paediatric Occupational Therapy helps school-aged children and young adults within the disability and LGBTQ+ communities, supporting mental health and diverse disabilities. We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist or OTA to join our Team. This is a full-time position, however, part-time hours are negotiable and full-time hours are also flexible. As part of a supportive and diverse team, you’ll provide occupational therapy services. You will work with a diverse range of clients, set your own schedule and have the chance to see the real difference your work makes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess client's emotional, developmental and physical capabilities using clinical observations and assessments.

• Plan and direct programs through the use of vocational, recreational, social and educational activities on an individual and group basis.

• Provide advice to family members, carers, employers and teachers about adapting clients' home, leisure, work and school environments.

• Assist clients to help improve their health by raising awareness of healthy lifestyles, disease and disability.

The successful candidate will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and evaluation within Occupational Therapy practice.

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to use technology

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.

• A current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence; and

• The right to live and work in Australia.

Remuneration

Annual full-time salary ($75,000 for new graduates, $90k+ for experienced OTs (5+ years))

Additional 11% superannuation guarantee
