Responsibilities:
- Undertake assessment of participants in shared living and community-based environments
- Provide direct therapy services, adaptive equipment, recommendations and environment modifications
- Complete various assessments and reports, including Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA’s), Sensory Profiling equipment applications and NDIS progress and review reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including participants, families, support workers and the wider allied health team.
- Commitment to the NDIS practice standards under the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
About you:
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioners’ Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience in the assessment and prescription of aids and equipment
- Flexible, responsive approach in working with individuals and their families
- Ability to work autonomously and as member of a multidisciplinary team
- High level interpersonal and communication skills as well as a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Demonstrate a commitment to Identitywa’s values
- The ability to work effectively within a team and manage a caseload
- Willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Orientation certificate
