Medical Receptionist

Join our team as a part time medical receptionist 2 days a week! (Wednesday and the other day of your choice)

We are a boutique Cardiology Practice which has provided cardiology services Victoria-wide for over 14 years. Our main location is in Melbourne’s east. Our team is dedicated to providing excellent services with a strong focus on patient care and a supportive work environment.

Role Responsibilities:

· Manage inquiries and interactions with patients, carers, referrers, and external parties in the clinic, over the phone and email professionally

· Handle business booking systems and coordinate appointments efficiently.

· Respond promptly to requests for urgent appointments from patients and referrers.

· Provide clear information and support to patients regarding document registration and payment details.

· Perform invoicing and receipting for patients and Medicare as needed.

· Maintain a caring, friendly, and professional demeanor with all patients.

· Ensure smooth clinic operations during business hours.

· Protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

· Experience in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.

· Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.

· Intermediate computer skills and the ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills.

· High level of professionalism with a focus on confidentiality and compliance.

· Ability to empathize with customers.

· Previous experience in the medical industry or knowledge of medical practice/terminology is highly regarded.
