About Bamaga & Injinoo
This clinic is located in the coastal community of Injinoo which is 7km from Bamaga. Bamaga has a large supermarket, post office, bakery, a pub offering affordable meals, a lodge that offers more gourmet style dining and a number of takeaway options.
Position Description:
- Solo GP required for a bulk billing practice focusing primarily on patients with chronic diseases.
- Three Aboriginal Health Workers are available to support the GP
- 30 minute appointment times
- Four doctors at Bamaga Hospital if support is required and several doctors and specialists based on Thursday Island
After Hours Requirements: No
Qualifications & Experience:
- Cultural Awareness of Torres Strait and Aboriginal people is an advantage but not essential. The area is very rich in traditional cultural practices
- Qualified GP with a provider number who is able to bill Medicare
